Post: Sarah Palin Winks At America in middle of debate
I don't consider that a wink. A wink is what Marilyn Monroe did in the Seven Year Itch. A wink makes your heart flutter. A wink takes you back and makes you ponder for a moment where your breath went.
Palin didn't wink, she convulsed. What Palin did there makes me want to vomit all over myself.
Post: Tell us your best dream
I have quite a list, and if you like hearing about crazy ass dreams you are welcome to inquire further. But anyway-- I think the rate the following the best dream I've ever had because it's so clear and simple. I had this dream when I was 13 years old.
"I'm in the car, my mom is driving. She has to stop at the post office so she parks the on the corner and leaves the engine idling. While I wait for her, I am watching a man sitting behind the driver seat of a parked van. The van has many side-mirrors; probably about 15-20 (all on the drivers side), they allow him to see every angle behind him and somewhat to the side of him.
All of the sudden some guy walks up and shoots him in the face. "

Welcome to my world, first drink's on me.
Post: Spider Eats Frog!
Does the spider make that much noise while it's eating or did they insert the "nom nom" sounds in editing?
Post: Urban Farming
Oh so weird. I just read Collapse. And Ishmael is a really great book but I probably only think that because I do have an earnest desire to save the world.
Post: Too much thinking makes you fat. Explains Paris Hilton. Brittney Spears still a mystery.
I think it's related to the quality of snacks.
Post: "The closest thing to a nightmare that I've honestly ever seen" [VIDEO]
I agree, the show is pretty messed up. But -- did you see a show on adult swim about an ancient egyptian guy who had a gold nose and a snake for a left arm? In the short clip I saw he stole 7 babies and his snake-arm ate one of them. I really thought I was losing my mind when I saw this. I thought my insanity was manifesting itself through perverted t.v. show hallucinations. I shut it off immediately and went to bed. Anyway the point is, as far as I'm concerned that cartoon was the closest thing to a nightmare I've honestly ever seen.
Post: Who else thinks that all U.S. legislation should be under revision control?
Once I might have agreed with your quoted sentiments, but it is only because the reality of what it kept back is so awful; opening up every inch of policy could be somewhat like breaking open a dam.
However, I do not agree with you because I do not believe that human coexistence has to be so awful. I believe that some people know how to peacefully coexist despite the fact that most do not. I have no organized plan on how things can and will be better, it is just a belief that composes who I am.
What I do know: In the grand scheme, our current layout for socially structured interaction and operation creates degrading situations, rampant political abuse, ignorant arrogance, and widespread hedonistic behavior. Clearly, although our society keeps moving, it does not move well. Perhaps its time we address the immoral consequences of our society. Perhaps it's time to give it all up and work it all out.
So, what I'm trying to say is, despite its negatives, this policy database our friends speak of might be just what we need to bring our society to the next step in evolution, progression, maturation. We need to stop fearing what we don't know.
Post: The 10 Oldest Bars in the United States [PICS]
Even better, I just spent time in Africa and visited a tavern that is so old it makes the 10th century look like yesterday. There is even some evidence it might pre-date human existence. When I was there they still had a room where self-righteous British tourists would fight lions.
(in all seriousness, the Eagle & Child sounds pretty cool.)
Post: The Shallowest Generation
Since we have chosen an existence more ordered than anarchy, the common thread among generations has been that we don't really invest enough time into teaching and training people in participating in a society. Generations talk talk. They live their lives and they hold on for another day. We have all figured out how to do enough to stay alive but we can't figure out how to be better citizens.
Someone has to train the babysitter.

haha, for a second I thought it said "Turning Oliver Stone into Biofuel"
Post: Make a sketch, and swap it with others | Strangely addicting...
I drew a picture of John Travolta from Grease and got a drawing of a penis. I drew an angry scribble-scrabble with the words "Boys are gross" and got back a guitar that looked strangely like a penis.

Good good, good for you.

Post: Irrelevant
(Comment I responded to: Completely. Just fall in love with mathematics. It's timeless and some of the formulas look like tits when graphed.)
My response: What about falling in love with love? It's timeless too, and when the formula is right it feels better than tits when brought into realization.
Post: The Crowd at a Rock Show [Comic]
Honestly, any drummer doing Metallica songs has got to be better than Lars doing Metallica songs. That man is a whiney, stinky loser, noise maker. He's so annoying!
Post: The Craziest "About Us" Section I Have Ever Read (lancewinslow.org)
I'm surprised that they didn't include how Lance also controls the underwater gnomes that are responsible for keeping earths tectonic plates moving, or how Lance serves as a mediator of man and God for human beings in search of enlightenment. They also didn't mention how Lanced aced all his spelling and math quizzes in grammar school but set the actual test papers ablaze on the school lawn upon graduating in a protest of "Western fascism". In fact, it completely forgot to mention how Lance rescued the American Dream from complete annihilation and is currently lovingly nursing it back to a stronger state of health.
Eccentrics rock my world.
